Riverrun deals in rare, antiquarian, and unusual books & literary manuscripts of all periods, with an emphasis on illustrated and artists books, literature, poetry, the fine and decorative arts, photography, architecture, design, and the art of the book.
Riverrun was founded in 1978 in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York and was purchased by Tom Lecky in 2016. Riverrun moved to Ardsley, New York in the fall of 2019.
Appraising, advising and bookselling are each strictly compartmentalized practices, and are kept very much separated from one another to avoid all conflicts of interest. When Tom is engaged as an appraiser, he recuses himself from any potential sale transaction, and works independently and without pressure to either buy or sell the appraised property.
